Dana is a New York based TV, film and stage actress. She trained at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in NYC and went on to receive a B.A. in Theater Studies from Duke University, graduating Cum Laude with Highest Distinction in Acting. Since returning to New York she has performed all over the city, as well as regionally, and was cast in the one-woman show Washing Machine in which she played eight characters. She was nominated for a New York Innovative Theater Award for Outstanding Solo Performance and went on to perform in two more runs of Washing Machine. The show received a Drama Desk Nomination for it's second run. Dana is best known for playing inmate Crystal Tawney on Seasons 6 & 7 of Orange Is The New Black. She also had a recurring role on Elementary (CBS). She can next be seen as the lead in the upcoming feature film Brightwood (2023). Other roles include Shoshana in the Off-Broadway World Premiere of Hello, From The Children Of Planet Earth (The Playwrights Realm), Sophie in Streepshow! (The Connelly), Joan in As Far As The Day Goes (Clubbed Thumb), Kate in Seminar (Kitchen Theatre), Kitty Dupree in Sherlock Holmes and The Case of The Jersey Lily (Dorset Theatre Festival), and Alida Bloodgood in The Poor of New York (dir. Tyne Rafaeli). Other theater companies she has worked with include Target Margin Theater, Human Race Theater Company, The Atlantic Theater Company, Syracuse Stage, Ars Nova, The Civilians, UglyRhino and The Private Theatre.
